Yeshua (Jesus)

Yeshua is the original Hebrew and proper name for Jesus of Nazareth, the Anointed One, His full title is Yeshua ha'Mashiach in Hebrew that is "Yah (God) who is Salvation. So in Hebrew Yeshua means both Salvation, and the concatenated form of Yahoshua, the Lord who is Salvation, and since only in the Hebrew does His name have any real meaning.  Because the name Jesus has no innate meaning in English, except as it is known as His name in English, and its even a common name for men in Spanish, actually the name Jesus came about as a mistranslation of the Greek mistranslation of Iesous and the Latin name Iesus. Even in bibles as late as the original King James the name Jesus does not appear, it has Iesus, so Yeshua really should be our first choice to call Him by, it is alter all His real name.

And who is This Yeshua, Jesus, Then Yeshua asked them, “And who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Yeshua answered, “You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah, because no person taught you that. My Father in heaven showed you who I am.

He is my Lord and Messiah, the one whom my life is found in and belongs to. In Yeshua I find myself more wicked and lost than I ever though, and more forgiven and loved than I ever hoped for. Yeshua lived the life that I am to and cannot, and died the death I deserved. There is nothing I can do to be more loved than I am at this moment by God in Christ, and nothing I can do to be unloved or reject by God. It is by His life, death and resurrection that I am forgiven, righteous, redeemed and saved and not by my actions or the keeping of a set of rules, or conduct in the life I live, in Christ alone am I made right before God and loved and excepted. I have done nothing to be saved, to earn my salvation, He called me to Himself to be saved with full foreknowledge of every sin that I would commit in my life from my first breath to my last, but yet He chose to save me. I have done nothing to to be loved by God, God did it all, He pursued me with His passionate love, as a love sick lover, a love sick groom pursing His bride He pursued me and reveled Himself to me, paid the price to have me, took the punishment I deserve and redeemed me from my sins. I am saved by the Grace of God and have faith righteousness, it is a gift from God by His grace, it cost me nothing but Yeshua everything, I did not have to do anything to earn it, do not have to work for it, I don't have to be good enough. It was Yeshua faith that got me righteousness and redemption, and now I am in Him and they are mine, my righteousness comes from Yeshua's faith not by my works, by any thing I do or don't do. Therefore I can do nothing to loose what was done for me and given to me freely by God. It is He who is holing on to me, keeping me safe in His salvation, it is He who is with me and cleanses me from all my sins, past, present and future. Anything I could to do to try and earn my salvation, be loved by God would only be as fifthly rags, if I could be made righteous by my own works, by the keeping of rules and laws I would have no need of a savior, but I am broken and needy, only God could do what I cannot, live the life I cannot, only God can and is saving me daily from myself.

Yeshua ha'Mashiach (Jesus Christ), is the only begotten Son of God, is the eternal Word made flesh, supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He was perfect in nature, teaching and obedience. He is fully God and fully man. He was always with God and is God. Through him all things came into being and were created. He was before all things and in him all things hold together by the word of his power. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation and in him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily. He is the only Savior for the sins of the world, having shed his blood and died a vicarious death on Calvary's cross. By his death in our place, he revealed the divine love and upheld divine justice, removing our guilt and reconciling us to God. Having redeemed us from sin, the third day he rose bodily from the grave, victorious over death and the powers of darkness and for a period of forty days appeared to over five hundred witnesses, performing many convincing proofs of his resurrection. He ascended into heaven where, at God's right hand, he intercedes for his people and rules as Lord over all. He is the Head of his body, the Church, and should be adored, loved, served and obeyed by all.

This is the Yeshua I believe in, The Only Yeshua, the Yeshua I know and who is my Lord and savoir, who is the One revealed in the scriptures, they reveal and teach us the truth of who He is, and is not, they reveal the nature and character of both God and Yeshua. I accept no other form of, any other Yeshua except the one relieved in the scriptures as who they describe Him as.

Eternity began when I was born, with my first breath eternity began, the first time God spoke to me and reveled to me as He did Simon Peter that Yeshua was the messiah, and I accepted Him as my Lord and messiah, and put my faith in Him and His death as my sacrificial lamb I was born again and entered an eternal relationship with Jesus. And that relationship is a daily encounter, a daily love relationship that will never end.

He saved me with a purpose, to be in a loving relationship with Him, to walk through my days in oneness with Him, to be in a love relationship with Him everyday, allowing Him to transform me more and more into His image. He saved me, called me to join Him on His mission on earth, the redemption of all creation, therefore I am to live sent on His mission. It is His mission, His work, I just get to be part of it, join in what He is doing. And He saved me to bring His Kingdom near to others, to live in community with other believers, a committed love relationship with other, proclaiming the gospel to the world via this community of faith known as the Church.

Jesus as my Lord results in that:

1. I desire for my life to incarnate the Gospel by the power of the cross of Christ and not with worldly wisdom or methods (1 Cor. 1:17-18; 2:1).
I chose to preach Christ crucified (1 Cor. 1:23) and with the power and wisdom of Christ (1 Cor. 1:24).  My life message is to be Christ crucified, risen and coming again. It is the only message we have for a lost world, the only hope we have to offer the lost world. Reliance upon cute, creatively-overblown, human-centered dialogue can distort the gospel and nullify the effects of the cross, result in religious works and self righteousness.

2. I acknowledge that I am to live sent and to incarnate and preach the gospel (1 Cor. 1:17; Gen. 12:4).
The calling of Jesus to every disciple is to live sent on Missio Dei, and to preach the gospel of repentance and redemption and restoration. Being a Christian is being willing to sacrifice all for God's mission, the total surrender of ones life, will, desires and purpose on earth.

3. I seek to think with the mind of Christ on all matters (1 Cor. 2:14-16).
Every issue, thought of a disciple must be filtered through the mind of Christ. This means that I utilize God's wisdom and not man's (1 Cor. 2:6-16). I gain this by the study and meditation of God's word.

4. I am fully dependent upon Christ and boasts only in His work on the cross (1 Cor. 1:26-31).
I boast not in my own abilities or intelligence or gifts, but in Christ who does through me what He desires to accomplish in His mission on earth. My standing before God is a gift given to me and sustained by Him, not in anything I do or don't do, no my own righteousness but Christ righteousness up on me.

5. I seek to be filled with God's power and it is demonstrated in my life (1 Cor. 2:4-5; 4:20).
As a cross-dependant disciple I stand in the power of the Spirit and not on my own abilities or intelligence or gifts, and I seek to release the power of God through my life into the life of others to accomplish God's will and mission.

6. I am a trustworthy bondservant of Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 4:1-2).
I chose to be a willing slave of Christ, as lower than others in order to lift up Christ and others in Christ, put both Christ and others first over ourselves and our own need. Others are to see (regard) our attitudes and our faithfulness to Christ who is leading His church.

7. I am a laborer for God's glory alone and does not take credit for the fruit of his seed sowing (1 Cor. 3:4-11).
I am merely God's farm hands in His harvest field. Nothing can be accomplished by me without Christ and without the help of other laborers in the field. I can't make the sun to shine and I can't make it rain. Only God gives the growth and only He gets the credit, for as Jesus said to Simon, it was God who showed you, no man.

8. I seek to be a model to other for followed Christ (1 Cor. 4:16-17; 11:1).
I am called to be a spiritual example to others. I am called to live a Missional life as a model to others. I must also serve as an example in my moral life, financial lives, sexual life, marital life and my familial life. We are to be as the Apostle Paul and to say to others imitate the life of Christ just as I do.

9. I seek to have a humility that is deep and practical (1 Cor. 4:6-7; 10-13).
I seek to truly and practically see myself as a recipient of God's mission, gifts, vision and abilities. Anything I possess comes from God it is not by my own abilities and strengths. Followers of God's mission must acknowledge that they can do nothing on their own, by their own accord. I seek to draw others to the Mission by my passion and sacrifice for it.

10. I seek and excersize me gifts for the good of the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:1-11; 12:28, Heb 2:4, Acts 14:26).
Each believer is given gifts to be used for the good and edifing of the body, church of Christ, gifts to server Chirst in His calling He would have for a believer.
