My Bucket List The concept of The Bucket List is based on the movie by the same name, the list is all about What would you like to do before you kick the bucket? I have combined that concept with One Month to Life, based on the book by the same name, it is about living your life as if you only have 30 days to live, how would you life and what would you do. So here is My Bucket List. The things that I want to do, be known for before I Kick the Bucket! How I would live if I had only 30 days to live. (This list is a work in progress)
- Imitate the life of Yeshua (Jesus), making disciples, teaching, miracles (even greater ones like He promised we would)
- Imitate the life of Paul, traveling the world, preaching the Gospel and planting churches
- To live as a warrior for God
- To embody God's love, mercy, forgiveness and grace for everyone, first and most to the unsaved
- To live as an example of God redemption to the world
- To live as an example of the Fathers love for the periodical son
- To do everything in light of God's redemption and love for the world
- That someone would Fall in love with me in a "until death do you part" kind of way
- Get married
- Become a father (have two children of my own)
- Be the best husband and father a man could be
- My obituary to say "He loved passionately, and he was passionately loved"
- To be known as a friend of God
- Live a passionate life of reckless abandonment for God - even on to dying for Christ in service to Him i.e. "Live like a Jesus Freak"
- That everyone would see and learn from my life that God is forgiving, merciful and full of grace
- To be part of a group of mighty, passionate, dedicated men of God (a group of dedicated, passionate men like the Spartans in 300)
- Climb my own Mount Ventoux - The point is to climb,
conquer
something in life I was/am afraid to climb/conquer
and see something new
- That everyone who meets me sees Jesus in the flesh
- Live a life that contributes meaningfully to the lives of others in relationship with Jesus
- To have and live the "life more abundant" that Jesus promised
- To live a life focused on what God thinks of every moment of it
- Make every meal good enough to be my last
- Never eat a meal alone
- See for myself that the earth is round - visit all 7 continents
- Pray at the wailing wall in Israel
- Walk on the Great Wall of China
- To purposely live a life that seeks to serve the poor and work towards for ending poverty
- To live a life that fulfills Mat 25:31-46 in a holistically way
- Ride the Orient Express
- Spend the night in the desert in Galilee
- Spend time as part of the underground church in China
- Live in at least two foreign countries for a while
- Plant churches in at least two foreign counties
- Go skinny-dipping at midnight with my wife in the South of France
- Dance beneath a waterfall and share a passionate kiss with my wife
- Kiss my wife every day as if is was our first kiss
- Watch the sun go down on a beach on each of the continents with my wife
- Write a book that has an transformational impact on people lives
- I want to belly laugh at least once a day
- Make someone else belly laugh at least once a day
- Have my primary residence in places that does not have a wind chill index forecast for the winter
- Eat a meal with Rachael Ray
- Server the poorest of the poor as did Mother Teresa
- Go for an extended ride in a state-of-the-art fighter aircraft
- Climb the Great Pyramid of Egypt
- Be continually found having dinner, having a beer and hanging out with, loving the outcast, the sinners while incarnating the gospel to them like Jesus did
- To fervently live my life according to my design with the end in mind
- That each day my life will make a eternal impact in the lives of others in this age and the one to come
- To be able to answer YES to these three questions at the end of my life
- Did I do what God really wanted me to do in life?
- Did I invest my life in places with eternal rewards?
- Did I experience all the adventures God had for me?
